Sarah Williams
Director

With over 20 years’ experience in investment banking, Sarah has advised on the development and funding of renewable energy projects in recent years.
She previously held senior positions in investment banking focused on corporate equity funding; originating, structuring and closing a diverse range of transactions including pre-IPO funding, private placements, domestic and cross border IPOs, and equity/equity linked secondary offerings. She was a Managing Director and Head of Emerging Europe Equity Capital Markets for UniCredit, prior to which she held director positions at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Grenfell, working in debt and equity capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. She has worked with governments, companies, venture capital and special situation funds, and institutional financial investors. She has closed transactions in many different sectors from financial services to real estate, including energy companies in countries including Poland, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UK.

She holds a BSc Honours in Economics from Warwick University and the Financial Times Non-Executive Director post graduate Diploma.​

Barry Butchart
Director

Barry's specialist knowledge of the UK renewables and low carbon energy market comes from providing a range of due diligence, acquisition, and planning and development advice on circa 1GW of commercial electricity generation capacity.
​
With over 17 years’ development experience spanning the energy, telecoms, industrial and minerals sectors, Barry has led teams focused on all aspects of the acquisition and development process, including a track record winning contentious planning appeals.
He previously held senior positions at AMEC, King Sturge (JLL) and James Barr (GVA). The depth of his experience has seen him appearing at planning inquiries, being invited by Counsel to act as an expert witness for a High Court challenge, and guiding the successful rebuttal of judicial review and ministerial call-in attempts, removing barriers to successful developments.

He holds a BSc Honours degree in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Dundee, is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS).
